Getting the most from your slit lamp

A slit lamp is an essential tool in optometric practice. Useful for everything from examining the eye for signs of disease to contact lens fitting, it is used by optometrists and contact lens opticians on a daily basis. 

This course is made up of 6 modules covering the set up and use of a slit lamp through demonstration and discussion. The modules are:

  • Setting up the slit lamp
  • Diffuse illumination and eye examination
  • Direct, Indirect and Retro-Illumination
  • Specular Reflection
  • Sclerotic Scatter
  • Assessing the anterior chamber
